 Herman Laas was born in 1873 in
Klaber, Mecklenburg-Schwerin, Germany. He was the son of Johann
and Dorothea (Roggelin) Laas.
On September 7, 1899, he married
Anna Schultz in Lucas County, Ohio. She had been born in 1875.
They had two daughters.

Herman died on July 3, 1924 in Toledo, Ohio at the age of 51.
He is buried at Forest Cemetery in Toledo. Anna passed away on
