 Fredericka (Laas) "Rika" Burmeister
was
born in 1872 and was the fourth child of Johann and Dorothea (Roggelin)
Laas. They lived in Toledo, Ohio.
She married Louis William Burmeister who was born February 18,
1874. In census reports, he was listed as a
draftsman at Sash and Door, Company in Toledo, Ohio and later as
Superintendent at a lumber mill.
Rika was a frequent visitor to
members of the Heiden family and attended many
Reunions.
They had five children:
- Walter Burmeister
- Florence (Burmeister) Warner
- Mildred Burmeister
- Lucille (Burmeister) Lehmkuhl
- Carleton Burmeister
Rika passed away in October, 1947 at
the age of 75 and is buried in Forest Cemetery in Toledo, Ohio.
Louis died In July, 1933 at the age of 59 and is also buried in
Forest Cemetery.
