Clyde R. Pickens was born August 4, 1934 in Monroe, Michigan as the second and last child of Bernice (Roggerman) and James Pickens.

He was married to Beverly Rhodes who was born on December 31, 1935. His second wife was named Lillian.

Clyde and Beverly had three children. He and Lillian had one.

Clyde died on September 5, 2003 at the age of 69.
