May (Murphy) Feldman was born on April 12, 1881, in
Lake Ridge, Michigan as the was the daughter of
Jenne (Anderson)
and Thomas Murphy.
She was a graduate of
Tecumseh High School and later taught school.
On March 25, 1901,
she married Louis R. Feldman and they had one child:
