Paul Revelle, Jr. was born on November 18, 1923 in Seattle, Washington. He was the son of Irene (Getty) and Paul Revelle, Sr.

On November 5, 1947, he married Dorothy Jean Smart in Seattle.

Paul, Jr. died on August 5, 1999 in La Jolla, San Diego County, California at the age of 75.
