Ronald Lavern Weyher was born on August 14, 1942 in Tecumseh, Lenawee County, Michigan. He was the son of Helen (Downing) and Alfred Weyher.

During his adult life, he was married to Sharon Thompson Brooks and Sue Bennett.

He had one child, Michoh Je Le Weyher.

Ronald died on March 25, 2020 at the age of 77 in Green Bay, Wisconsin. He is buried at the Fort Custer National Cemetery in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
