Matilda E. "Dolly" (Wegner) Young was born on March 26, 1916 in Palmyra, Lenawee County, Michigan. She was the daughter of Martha (Downing) and Emiel Wegner.

She was married to Walter Knickerbocker and Tracey Young.

Tracey and Dolly had one son, Brent W. Young.

Matilda died on November 9, 2007 in Tucson, Pima County, Arizona at the age of 91. She is buried at Ridgeway Cemetery in Ridgeway Township, Lenawee County, Michigan.
