Elsie (Converse, Schaller) Vokes was born April 2, 1911. She was the daughter of Ella (Titsworth) and Eugene Converse.

She was married to Forrest Schaller and they had three children:

1. Thelma Schaller

2. Benadick Schaller

3. Luella (Schaller) Godell

Later, she was married to James Vokes.
