Irene (Getty) Cilley was born on March 17, 1896 in Dundee, Monroe County, Michigan as the daughter of George Frances and Olive (Merryfield) Getty.

She married Harold Elwood Cilley, Sr. on May 29, 1917 in Dundee. They had seven children:

3. Hortense Escel (Cilley) Fonsworth

4. Howard Eugene "Gump" Cilley, Sr.

5. Hayden Ellsworth Cilley

6. Harlow Edison Cilley

7. Harley Cilley

Irene died on July 19, 1931 in Toledo, Ohio at the age of 35. She was buried at Oak Grove Cemetery in Dundee.

Harold who was born on September 1, 1888 in Dundee, died there on October 20, 1961 at the age of 73. He is also buried at Oak Grove Cemetery in Dundee.
