Mabel Oliver was born February 21, 1901 in Ridgeway Township, Lenawee County, Michigan as the daughter of Ernest H. and Mary (Curry) Oliver.

She married Melchior Oldemar Nelson.

She died in October of 1978 in Phoenix, Maricopa County, Arizona.
