Raynor George "Tip" Oliver was born September 15, 1905 in Britton, Michigan as the son of Ernest H. and Mary (Curry) Oliver.

He was married to Ethelyn Middlebrook.

Raynor died on April 5, 1979 in Frenchtown Township, Monroe County, Michigan at the age of 74 and is buried in Ridgeway Cemetery, Ridgeway Township, Lenawee County, Michigan.
