Alvina Doerfel was born circa 1871 as the daughter of  Dorothea (Rehmann) and Julius Doerfel. She died on July 7, 1872 at the age of 1 year and is buried in Glenwood Cemetery in Philadelphia. At the time of her birth, the family was living at 1919 North Fourth Street in the city.
