Louis was the husband of Fredericka (Laas) and father of Lucille (Burmeister) Lehmkuhl, Carlton Burmeister and Florence (Burmeister) Warner who often attended early Heiden Family Reunions. Fredericka's mother, Dorothea (Regelin) Laas was a cousin of Rika (Knaack) Heiden.
