State of Michigan Circuit Court of the County of Monroe

  August Heiden an alien, being of the age of about Forty years, desirous of becoming a citizen of the United States of America, in conformity to the Laws of the United States, relative to the naturalization of aliens, makes the following declaration, viz:

  That he was born in Mecklenburgy that he emigrated from Germany sailing from the port of Hamburg in the year 1873 and arrived in the United States the same year, and that he arrived in the State of Michigan, in 1873 and that he intends to remain in the County of Monroe in said State.

  I, August Heiden do solemnly swear that the facts set forth in the above declaration are true, and that it is bona fide my intention to become a citizen of the United States, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to each and every foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to the Emperor of Germany of whom I am a subject.

    I HEREBY CERTIFY, That August Heiden has filed in my office his declaration of his intention to become a citizen of the United States, of which the above is a true copy, in conformity to the laws of the United States in regard to the naturalization of aliens.
