Funeral services for Roger L. Hall, 75, of Granada, MN, will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, July 10, 2020, at the Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont. Burial will be following the service at Center Creek Cemetery near Granada, MN. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, July 9, 2020, at the Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont and will continue one hour prior to the time of service. Due to COVID-19 guidelines, social distancing guidelines will be observed, masks will be encouraged, and the number of guests will be monitored. Roger passed away Sunday, July 5, 2020. The Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements.

Roger Lee Hall was born on December 16, 1944, in a home on the family farm near Granada, MN, the son of Wilbur Wendell and Clara Emma (Measor) Hall. Roger received his education attending school in Granada and graduated from Granada High School.

Following his graduation, attended Dunwoody College of Technology, and later enlisted with the United States Army where he served proudly until receiving his honorable discharge.

On October 15, 1965, Roger was united in marriage to Harriet Danielson in Northrop, MN. Together the couple made their home on a farm near Northrop and were blessed with two children, Jeffrey and Steven.

Roger loved living the life of a farmer. In his younger years, he found a passion for welding and worked for many years at Standard Welding. He then began working for Stokely’s where he harvested sweet corn earning the nickname of “Sweet Corn King”. Roger never lost his love for raising crops and looked forward to the change of the seasons and the work that came with it.

In his youth, Roger looked forward to throwing his leg over his motorcycle and cruising the countryside on road trips with the Traveler’s Motorcycle Club. In his later years, Roger looked forward to heading to warmer weather in the winter following the open road on trips to the South. He treasured spending time with family and friends especially “Spud” and his coffee buddies where they met at Perkins to solve the world’s problems over a warm cup of coffee. Roger was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Fairmont, the Lee C. Prentice American Legion Post #36, and was a proud member of the Iron Workers Union.

Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Jeffrey L. Hall and Steven J. Hall; granddaughter, Makayla L. Hall “Spud”; two step-grandchildren, Kammy (Matt) Sadler and Kasey Adams-Urban; brother, Donald Hall; sister-in-law, Patricia Hall; niece Heather (David) Wiederhoeft; nephew, Ryan (Jodi) Hall; as well as many other extended family and friends.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur and Clara Hall and a brother, Robert Hall.
