Betty J. Heiden, 79 years, of Temperance, MI, died Thursday, August 5, 2004, in the Hospice of Northwest Ohio at Toledo. The daughter of August and Stella Nye, she was born December 23, 1924, in Toledo. October 5, 1963, she married Marvin Heiden in Toledo. He preceded her in death May 21, 1997. Bette enjoyed her family and especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving children, Russell (JoAnne) Randall, Dennis Randall, Thomas (Beverly) Randall; stepdaughters, Karen (Bob) Barackman, Lorraine (Kenneth) Jaworski; 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Bette was also preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Ethel Mae Aubry.

Visitation will be held Sunday from 2 till 9:00 p.m. in the Bedford Funeral Chapel, 8300 Lewis Ave., Temperance, MI, where funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. by Deborah Davis, associate in ministry at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, with interment in Whiteford Union Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
