Harold A. Heiden, 89 years, of Temperance, MI passed away on Friday, November 24, 2023 in Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo. A tool and die maker, he had worked for Janson Tool & Die Co. in Toledo and retired in 1997 from Ford Motor Company in Milan, MI.

The son of Arthur and Mildred (Roggerman) Heiden, he was born September 17, 1934 in Dundee, MI. Harold was a 1953 graduate of Dundee High School where he was a member of the National Honor Society, captain of the football team, played baseball and the band. He graduated from Ford Trade School in 1958.

May 22, 1954, he married Carol Jean Boos at St. Paul’s Methodist Church in Monroe, MI. Harold loved camping with his children, boating, fishing, hunting and traveling to Europe. He also enjoyed snow skiing, playing golf, woodworking, and working in the yard. Harold was also active in scouting with the Boy Scouts of America with his 3 sons.

For 20 years he and his wife Carol lived in Palmetto, FL during the winter months.

He was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Temperance and Trinity Lutheran Church in Bradenton, FL.

Harold is survived by his loving wife of nearly 70 years, Carol; sons, Thomas (Donata) Heiden, Timothy Heiden, Scott (Linda) Heiden; siblings, Joyce (Jack) Wittman, Ronald (Corliss) Heiden, Ralph (Lynn) Heiden, Kay (Bill) Dushane, Gail (John) Baker; grandchildren, Jay, Nicholas, Adam, Zachary, Dylan, Cameron, and Gabrielle as well as 3 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter-in-law, Susan Heiden.

Cremation has taken place. A private burial will be held in Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle, MI. A memorial service will be held at a later date at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Temperance, MI. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Temperance, MI. Arrangements entrusted to Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis Ave. Temperance, MI.
