"Mildred
M. Heiden, 97 years, of Dundee, died Tuesday at Medilodge of Monroe,
while under the care of Heartland Hospice.
Friends may call at the Capaul Funeral Home, Friday, from 3-8 PM. She
will lie in state Saturday, July 7, in Prince of Peace Lutheran Church,
Ida, from 10 AM until services at 11 AM. Pastor Ted Kerr will officiate.
Burial will be in Prince of Peace Cemetery, Ida.
Born September 4, 1914, in Dundee, Mildred was the daughter of Ralph and
Addie (Getty) Roggerman. A 1931 Dundee High School Graduate, she married
Arthur H. Heiden, March 3, 1934, in Monroe. He died June 18, 1985.
Mildred was a homemaker, a Charter Member of Prince of Peace Lutheran
Church and former member of the Altar Guild and Sarah Circle, and a
member of the Dundee Senior Citizens. She enjoyed crocheting, playing
cards, crossword puzzles, and watching the Detroit Tigers and Red Wings.
Surviving are; sons, Harold (Carol), of Temperance, Ronald (Corliss), of
Dundee, Ralph (Lynn), of Okemos; daughters, Joyce (Jack) Wittman, of
Orlando, FL, Kay (Bill) Dushane, of Monroe, Gail (John) Baker, of
Traverse City; brother, Kenneth (Ellie) Roggerman, of Lansing; fifteen
grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great
grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, brothers, Ervin and Lewis,
sister, Bernice Pickens, and an infant son.
