Dennis Alan Klatt was born on September 24, 1972, in Monroe, Michigan to
the union of Harold Klatt and Jeanette (Wood) Klatt. Dennis's
educational journey culminated in his earning a GED, a steppingstone
that led him to a fulfilling career as a laborer
Dennis loved the company of family and friends. He enjoyed playing
euchre, mostly because the game brought him together with loved ones for
nights filled with laughter and friendly competition.
He was also an avid sports fan; Dennis could often be found cheering on
his favorite football teams. Win or lose he was a diehard Lions fan. His
passion for sports extended to his hobbies, where he amassed a
collection of baseball cards. Dennis also found solace in fishing.
Dennis Alan Klatt, age 51 of Monroe, Michigan passed away at home under
the care of Elara Caring Hospice on Saturday, August 17, 2024,
surrounded by family. His passing was preceded by his parents: Harold
and Jeanette Klatt; a sister: Jayne Klatt; and two nephews: Samuel and
Steven Moser.
Dennis's legacy continues through his children: Joshua Ferris and Ashley
Klatt; siblings: Donna Moser, Judy (David) Zurek, Jeremy Bussell and
Douglas Klatt, his nieces and nephews: Nikki Bryant (James Bilbrey),
Erica Walton, Brooklynn (Andrew) Ausmus, Misty,Meagan, Taylor, Jayden,
DJ, Samuel, Sean and Kayla, and great nieces and nephews: Brinley, Rory,
Parker and Charlotte.
No public services are planned at this time. His care has been entrusted
to Merkle Funeral Service, North Monroe; 2442 North Monroe Street,
Monroe, Michigan 48162 (734) 384-5185.
Cremation has taken place through Covenant Cremation of Erie, Michigan,
a division of Merkle Enterprises, Inc.
Due to the unfortunate COVID-19 pandemic, no services are planned at
this time. A public graveside service will be held at Great Lakes
National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Road, Holly, Michigan 48442 with full
military honors. |
