Accompanied
by their daughter's husband, Albert Kempker, the Conrad Rehmann
family departed from Bremen, Germany and arrived in Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania on Friday, May 16, 1851. They were aboard the S.S.
Louise Marie (often misspelled as Louisa Marie) which was commonly
used by German immigrants to the United States at that time. The
captain on this journey was C. Wenke.
