Marvin William "Marv" Heiden was born October 24, 1926 as the first child of William Leo and Alice (Brossia) Heiden. At the time, they lived in the community of Grape in Raisinville Township, Monroe County, Michigan.

On October 7, 1944, he married Donna Jean "Jeaniie" Rehburg in Sandusky, Ohio. They had three daughters together before being divorced in 1958. In the 1950 census, they were listed as living at 250 Outer Drive in Dundee, Michigan.

Marv served one year in the U.S. Army Air Corps from November 1945 to November 28, 1946. Later he was the owner, operator of Heiden Excavating Company.

On October 5, 1963, he married Betty Jane Nye in Toledo, Ohio and they lived in southern Monroe County in Temperance, Michigan.

Marvin died at the age of 70 on May 21, 1997 in Temperance and is buried at Whiteford Union Cemetery in Whiteford, Michigan.
