Barbara Ann (Frank) Steinman was born on April 29, 1939 in Ida, Michigan. She was the daughter of Libbie (Heiden) and Lester Frank.

She graduated from Ida High School in 1958 and married William "Bill" Steinman at the Immanuel Lutheran Church on June 26, 1959. They had three children.

Bill died on July 24, 2007 at the age of 67. Barbara passed away on November 20, 2022 in ProMedica Monroe Hospital. She was 83 at the time of her death and she and Bill are buried at Roselawn Cemetery in La Salle, Michigan.
