Arlene Joyce (Brown) Leidel was born in 1931 in Toledo, Ohio as the second child of Caroline (Laas) and William Brown.

She was a high school graduate and worked for the U.S. Postal Service as a clerk.

She was married to Fred Leidel in 1951and they had three children.

Arlene died on February 18, 2009 in Oceanside, California. Fred preceded her in death in 2007.

At the time of her death, she had two granddaughters and three great grandchildren.
