Norma Jean “Jeane” Heiden was born on Monday, April 11, 1927 in St. Vincent’s Hospital in Toledo. She was the only one of the 13 children
of William Carl and Mary (Rambow) Heiden who was not born at the family home. Mary (Rambow) Heiden was 49 years old at the time of Norma's birth
as their final child.
Jeanie attended Bridge School through the 8th grade and then went on to graduate from
Dundee High School in the class of 1945. She was salutatorian of her class. In 1946, she began working for Monroe County Abstract Company
writing title abstracts for property transactions throughout the county. She continued with this job until 1989 when she retired. However, she continued to work as an abstractor part-time for Hassett Title Co. and celebrated fifty years on the job in 1996.
Jeanie who lived in the
Detroit Beach area near the City of Monroe, passed away on January 29,
2013 at Mercy Memorial Hospital in Monroe. She was 85 at the time of her
death and is buried at Roselawn Memorial Park in LaSalle, Michigan.
