Frederick D. Wittkop was the fifth and final child of Veyril (Getty) and Dewey Wittkop. He was born on April 23, 1936 in Dundee, Michigan.

A 1954 graduate of Dundee High School, he was the owner/operator of Monroe Glass & Sound Company from 1975 to2 017.

He was married to Barbara Fishmaster and later to Phyllis Heck with whom he had two children.

On July 12, 2021, Fred died at the Ebeid Hospice Residence in Temperance, Michigan. He was 85 years old.
