Edna Sophie Alberta (Rosenthal) Schneider was born on Saturday, November 3, 1900 at 2023 N. Marshall Street in Philadelphia. She was the daughter of Marie Georgianna (Behm) and Edward E. Rosenthal.

In the 1910 and 1920 census reports, Edna, her parents and siblings lived at 261 Montana Street, Germantown, Philadelphia. In the latter report, she was listed as a stenographer at a water company.

On Wednesday, October 3, 1923 at the age of 22, she married Harold William Schneider, Sr. age 21 in Philadelphia. They had one child.

By the 1930 census, Edna was living at 149 Lehigh Avenue in Philadelphia. Also in the household were her sisters Josephine Koelmel and Mae (Rosenthal) Ryan. In 1935, Edna, her husband and child, Harold William, Jr. were in residence at 4133 Dungan Street where they were still living in 1940.

Edna died on January 23, 1992 at the Eastern Star Home in Warminster, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. She was 91 years of age and was buried in the Hillside Cemetery in Roslyn, PA.

Harold, Sr. who had been born on January 15, 1902, died on January 26, 1968 at El Yunque Rain Forest in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He was killed in an automobile accident while traveling in Puerto Rico. Harold, Sr. who was 66 at the time of his death is also buried in the Hillside Cemetery in Roslyn, PA.
