Lewis T. Rehmann was born circa 1904 as the sixth and final child of George Charles Conrad and Ida Emmaline (White) Rehmann.

In 1910, he and his family were living on South Main Street in Monroe Township, Gloucester County, New Jersey. In 1930, he was listed as a farm laborer. A 1935 reference has him living in Monroe Township, Gloucester County, NJ and in 1952 he was residing in Williamstown in the same county.
