Herman and Ernst "Ernest" Heiden were brothers.
John and Rika (Laas) Burmeister were siblings. They were cousins of the Heidens.
Lucille was the daughter of Louis and Rika (Laas) Burmeister.
The child being held by Herman may be his youngest son, Richard Lee Heiden.
