Wayne Lee Heiden was born October 18, 1939 in Dundee, Michigan. He was the second child of Walter and Edith (Spaulding) Heiden.

He graduated from Dundee High School and worked as a carpenter and pattern maker.

Wayne married Patricia Ellen Gurtzweiler on August 20, 1960 in West Immanuel Lutheran Church in Ida, Michigan. She was born November 7, 1942 at Monroe Hospital. Pat is a graduate of Tecumseh High School and works as a pharmacy tech.

They had two children.

 Wayne died on October 22, 2014 in Sebring, Florida at the age of 75.
