 Herman
D. Heiden was the first child of Lewis and Zina (Robinson) Heiden. He
was born on August 25, 1924 in Chippewa Township, Isabella County,
Michigan.
During World War II he was a Private First Class in the
U.S. Army
serving in Burma and India. After the war, Herman worked for 43 years as a boilermaker and
plumber in Lansing, Michigan.
On May 1, 1948, he married Lydia McMillan in Evart, Michigan. They lived
in Charlotte, Michigan and spent their later years wintering in either Brooksville, Florida
or Tucson, Arizona.

On May 15, 2011, Herman died at the age of 86 at the Eaton Community
Hospice in Charlotte, Michigan. Lydia followed him in death on October
9, 2020 at the age of 93 in Potterville, Michigan.
