Henry Frederick Ludwig Rambow was born August 22, 1909 as the second child of Friedrich L. and Emma (Westfahl) Rambow in Raisinville Township, Monroe County, Michigan.

He married Helen Edith Burnham Weaver on July 20, 1929. Helen was born September 20, 1905 in Legasji, Albay, the Phillipines Islands. They lived in Wayne County, Michigan and had one child but were divorced in 1938. Helen had two children from a previous marriage.

On January 24, 1940, Henry married Edith M. Delaporte in Birmingham, Michigan. They had no children.

Henry died at the age of 54 on November 16, 1963 and is buried at the St Matthew Lutheran Church cemetery.
