Arthur J. Underwood was born September 28, 1865 as the son of Eliza Jane (Getty) and William Underwood.

He married Mamie Boyce and they had two children:

1. Floy (Underwood) Exelby

2. Rena (Underwood) Bryant

He died on October 2,1942 at the age of 77.
