Albert Adam Behm was born in August of 1874 in New Jersey. He was the son of George W. and Sophia (Kempker) Behm.

In the 1880 census, he was living with his parents and brother, Henry, at 4 Upshure Avenue in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. By the 1900 census, they were living at 2023 Marshall Street in Philadelphia.

Circa 1906, he married Ella King who was born in October of 1882 in Pennsylvania. They had five children.

3. Robert John Behm (1912-1991)

4. Edna Mae (Behm) Wallen (1914-2010)

5. Edward L. Behm

In the 1910 census, Albert, Ella and their first two children were living at 2128 Watson Street in Camden City, Camden County, New Jersey. Albert was working as a leather worker. By 1920, they were living at 289 Thirteenth Street in Hammonton, NJ and he was a house carpenter.

Albert died in 1930 at the age of 56.
