In Germany, the Heidens, Rambows and Roggermans all lived in the northern areas of the country. Before emigrating to the U.S., the Heiden and Rambow families lived in the same small village of Gross Wokern. The Roggermans originated on Rugen Island just off the northern coast of Germany.
