Marvin John Koster was born December 18, 1919 as the third child of Lena (Heiden) and John Koster, Jr.

He attended Dundee High School and, in 1944, he married Kathleen Laffere who died in 1946.

The picture to the left shows Marv in a military uniform so we must assume he served but we only know that he registered for the draft on July 1, 1941.

In the 1950 census, Marvin was listed as living at a farm at 6103 Hiser Road in Dundee Township. In 1956, he married Mary M. (Knegendorf) Boldt. There were no children from either marriage.

On July 3, 1999, Marvin died at the age of 79 at Mercy Memorial Hospital in Monroe, Michigan. He is buried in Maple Grove Cemetery in Dundee. Mary died at the age of 84 on September 1, 2008 in Dundee and is also buried at Maple Grove Cemetery.
