Lena (Heiden) and John Koster, according to a 1930 U.S. Census report, lived on 2863 Radka Road northeast of Dundee, Michigan. They lived with John's mother, Dora, who was 91 at the time. Two of their children, Harold (12) and Marvin (10) lived with them along with a nephew, Gerald Koster.

In the 1940 U.S. Census only John, Lena and son, Marvin lived at this farm.

The 1950 U.S. Census has John and Lena living in Bedford Township of Monroe County with their nephew Gerald Koster.

They later moved to their home farm at 11501 Dixon Road in another part of Dundee Township.

The first Heiden Family Reunion was held at this farm in 1921 and it was held there again in 1929 and 1935.
