In the 1900 U.S. Census, William (27) and Bertha (27) (Rambow) Burgard as listed as living at this address with their daughter, Elsie  (Dentel) (1) and William's parents Fred (64) and Lizzie (62) Burgard. They also had a hired hand, Philip Henning (17) living on the farm. Their daughter, Hazel, was born in 1908 and died in 1909.

Later, the farm was taken over by their son, Arthur who was born in 1901. He and his wife, Ella continued to operate the farm. They had two children, Marilyn and Lee.
