To the west (left in the picture) was the home of their daughter, Norma and her husband, Homer Ballard at 7730 South Custer Road. A few hundred yards to the east (right in the picture) was the home of their son, Charles (23) and his wife Bernice at 7650 South Custer.

Albert's brother, Carl, and his mother, Henrietta lived across the road at 7739 South Custer Road during the 1950 U.S. Census .
