While gathering photos for The Heiden Family History in 1995, I began to discover images of people in various stages of their lives. Since I only knew my grandfather, William Carl Heiden (shown above) as a very old man (he was 74 when I was born), it was exciting to find pictures of him as a 20 or 30 year old. So, I began to put together a series of pictures on a page showing a person or couple from the youngest pose to the oldest pose in my collection. With the help of Lightroom and PhotoShop, I was able to extract portraits from group pictures to add to the comparisons. I call these "Through the Years" galleries.
