Thanks to the 1985 book, A Bit O' Yesterday by Monita Fergus, we have a lot of information on the Getty Family. Starting with John Getty, Sr. who was born in what is now Northern Ireland about 1788 the story continues into 20th century Michigan.

The connection to the Heiden Family comes through the former Mildred Roggerman who was married to Arthur Heiden. Her mother was Adeline "Addie" Getty.

Shown below is a graphical version of a family tree created in PhotoShop. These can be modified and personalized to fit any branch of the family or any individual member of the family.

It can help to see a physical representation of facts and other data involved in a family history. This partially explains the use of "family trees" with relatives scattered among the branches which helps to bring order to things.

The RootsMagic software that I use has many, many options for displaying the information in its database. I have included a few examples and hope to add more in the future. If you are interesting in getting a chart or display for your particular branch of a family, I would be glad to help you.
