According to the 1940 U.S. Census, Edwin "Pete" and Lela (Viets) Heiden lived on South Custer Road with their three children, Donald, Delores and Glen (shown from Left to Right in that order below).

Edwin's cousin, Lester Heiden and his wife, Lila (Lela's twin sister) with their two children (Robert and Donna Mae) are listed next on the same page. They were living as neighbors at that time before moving to a house to the east on S. Custer several miles away and  across the road from the Rambow family.
