Lavern and Sallie (Andrews) Berns built this home next to the west of Hank and Edna (Heiden) Berns' property in the late 1950s. They moved here from their home at 8090 Dixon Road.

I remember that in the late 1950s or early 1960s. I used to ride my bicycle a couple of miles to come here to play baseball with Galen and Darrell and others. There was an open lot to the left of the house shown above and a bunch of neighborhood kids would get together and play ball all afternoon.
